How To Use and Operate Automated External Defibrillator (AED)  for Medical Expert and First Aiders  ?


The only effective treatment for ventricular fibrillation / Sudden cardiac arrest is a defibrillation shock by AED - an electrical pulse through the heart - which can restore a normal heart rhythm. In order to be effective in treating VF defibrillation treatment must be administered within the first few minutes.

Step 1:-
Look at person for below mentioned Symptoms of Ventricular Fibrillation and if you find any of these then please ask for help to get an AED.
1.Unconscious
2.No Effective Heart Action
3.No Breathing
4.Looks Terribly Sick & Discolored .

Step 2:-
When AED arrived at scene open AED box, Remove tag from Battery for power supply  and press orange button to turn on AED once done. You will hear sound when AED gets on. Please ensure that chest electrode plug is inserted properly. 


Step 3:-
Follow voice prompts. Open Grey plastic case and attached electrodes at patient’s bare chest on exact location printed on each electrode pad. Shave the chest if required.

Step 4: -
After applying of  PAD AED starts analyzing.
Don't Touch Patient During Analysis.

Step 5: -
Push the
“Shock”
Button if indicates.
If rhythm is shock able then orange button will automatically start blinking and AED will prompt you to deliver shock. Press Orange button to deliver shock. Stay Clear of Patient During Shocks
Verbal Command to Clear
Visually Confirm All Are Clear.
